Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) has long been recognised as a valuable tool in the assessment of hearing loss in young children and is widely used by hearing care professionals worldwide.
Until now VRA devices have usually consisted of two black boxes with smoked perspex fronts, containing a dancing doll or animal that moves up and down, illuminated by constant or pulsed light.
The multi-monitor VRA has been designed in conjunction with the Paediatric Audiology Service of Southwark Primary Care NHS Trust, which is based on the Guy's Hospital site.
