The EFAS Congress
June 2005, Göteborg, Sweden
The Sennheiser and Siemens team after
testing the "sound shower" at the booth.
The European Federation of Audiology Societies
organizes a congress every two years. In
2005 the EFAS Congress took place in Göteborg,
Sweden on June 19th until June 22nd.
During the whole congress the Who is Who
in European Audiology gave lectures about
a broad variety of topics. The congress was
also a platform for manufacturers to present
their latest innovations. Siemens
was present with an eye-catching booth in Acuris design.
Siemens unique e2e wireless technology caught the attention of visitors
from all-over Europe.
The Acuris situation detection could be experienced
with sound showers at the booth.
Fortunately no one got wet, but many stepped
from one high-concentrated sound source to
the next one to "feel" the advantages of such a technology
provides. After the congress the audiological
benefits of fully synchronized hearing
instruments have been explained in a more
detailed way in the congress facilities and on
a boat trip through the harbor in Göteborg
followed by a dinner in a traditional Swedish
restaurant. 80 audiologists enjoyed the specialties served.
