Joint Seminar Slovakia/Czech Republic
Siemens Academy, Donovaly/Slovakia, March 17 to 19, 2005

The new era of Siemens hearing instruments distribution in Slovakia started with a joint seminar of about 70 ENT doctors from Slovakia and Czech Republic on March 17 in the ski resort of Donovaly located in the scenic Lower Tatra mountains.

The hosts, Dr. Martin Andres, Managing Director of Siemens Audiologická Technika, Prague, and Igor Vantech, Managing Director of VANTECH, Kosice/Slovakia, prepared an interesting program. After Dr. Werner Hohn’s presentation about advantages of binaural hearing the meeting culminated in the launch of ACURIS with e2e wireless technology, presented by Jörg Pahlen, Siemens Sales Manager. Dr. Radan Havlik from Audiofon Center, Brno, rounded off the seminar with an exciting presentation about his experience with INFINITI Pro and MUSIC Pro hearing instruments.

In a separate session, the new customers from Slovakia, where SAT started a co-operation for hearing instrument distribution with VANTECH company from Kosice, were trained for the fitting of PHOENIX 3 series...

After the academy program, many participants decided to go alpine skiing in the Donovaly snow arena nearby. The evening entertainment featured traditional Slovak live music and the legendary “tombola” event.

The ENT doctors considered the in-depth information about binaural hearing and the new state-of-the art technology as very useful and left the seminar with new tools and ideas at hand. Some of them exhausted from speedy downhill skiing.
