After welcoming the audience with more than 230 attendees by Dr. Moh. Tawalbeh, the
chairman of the Royal Jordanian ENT-Committee, it was Ibrahim Aqels proudful presentation
of BARA'As mission for the Jordanian Hearing Impaired Community. Along with the World's
Hearing Health Care Provider No.1, S.A.T. from Erlangen Germany, the main topics of that
"special event" were covered intensively by Mr. Thie and Mr. Zoth, who gained continuous
interest for several hours. Together with the newly introduced PRISMA 2K, the methods of
early detection, intervention and fitting, seem to have a good chance to be introduced as
a regular screening method for newborns in Jordan.
