HearCheck, an easy to use hand-held device specifically designed to aid in triaging patients with hearing impairments, is now available from Siemens Hearing Instruments in the UK.
The Screener provides a basic assessment to identify patients needing further treatment, which might include referral to an audiology
department or an ENT consultant.

Simple to operate, the HearCheck Screener is designed to be used by general practitioners and practice nurses prior to a formal diagnostic assessment.
The HearCheck Screener provides two test frequencies (1kHz, 3kHz) with three different dB levels each (1khz: 55, 35, 20; 3kHz: 75, 55, 35), chosen
specifically to identify different types of hearing impairments.
